Though separate tables are not generally preferable for cultivating togetherness, sometimes space constraints leave no alternative. The children’s table in the sample above offers brighter, more vivid colors to capitalize on the energy and exuberance of youth while still providing them with tons of treats!
We used a cheery floral gently-used Fallani & Cohn print purchased on ebay.
These are a lively “lime zest” to bring out the brightly colored leaves from the underneath, purchased on Amazon: Lime Placemats
What could be more festive than dishes designed to emulate decorated eggs, shape and all?! These were purchased gently-used on ebay but were originally sold from Pottery Barn Kids. Mini pink melamine bowls top them off for multiple course serving.
Plastic water goblets complete with pink, glowing Litecubes make the childrens’ beverages the envy of all! Litecube link: Direct Glow
If age appropriate children love the hurdy gurdies just as much as the adults! We recommend providing one per place setting. These are truly a favorite of everyone! Once again, these are available at: Victorian Trading Co.
Lovely, seasonal and so much fun! This is a bunny puppet in a basket alongside a dish of frosted egg biscuit cookies (see “Menus & Recipes: Spring Equinox”) This critter hailed from Whole Foods, and nobody (adults included) could put him down! Multi-colored curling ribbon completes the ensemble and adds to the festive feel.
Napkins and Napkin Holders:
April Cornell “Coral Green Floral” napkins purchased from ebay are comfortably tucked into rattan napking rings nicely tying into the spring basket theme. These were purchased at Linens and Things before it went out of business, but Walmart carries some very similar ones: Walmart Rattan Napkin Rings.
Chair Covers and Chair Bows:
Each placesetting also includes a yoyo, fruit snacks, and a holiday cracker (see above section). Younger children not yet able to enjoy the holiday crackers may appreciate a few mini play dohs wrapped in the same cherry blossom wrapping paper!
